Why choose Seahorse Designs Art?

Art as gift makes a lasting impression. Seahorse Designs can create the perfect gift to announce the details of your very
special occasion.

My design collection incorporates a timeless elegance and sense
of orginality in each personalized piece. They express a sense of antiquity, complemented by classic font proportions, delicate textures and refined handpainting choices.

A generous array of custom design options from traditional typesetting and monograms to a rich palette of acrylics, watercolors and metallics creates a tasteful combination.

My choice paper is distinguished by the Crane® watermark (visible when held up to the light), a signature of the quality and pride that have gone into producing this exceptional paper. The 100% cotton paper is made with the same traditional craftsmanship used in back in 1801.

Currently my art is available in 8x10 and 11x14 sizes.

Once a scribbler, always a scribbler...
Born a scribbler, I painted my way to a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Painting from the University of Denver.  Aptly enough, my first experience as a professional artist was at Scribbles Ink, a stationery studio in La Jolla, California.  Rich and plentiful opportunities followed to perform freelance design in San Diego, Monterey and Northern California.  In San Francisco, I acted as Graphic Design Project Manager at The North Face.  Jumping coasts, I was on-site graphic designer at Ginger Bender Stationery, Etc and a consultant to the Arts Council of Northwest Florida in Pensacola.  Norfolk and Alexandria, Virginia have been the centers of my design work most recently.
I marvel at the details and embellishments of decorative designs in antiques and fine art. These are  strong influences in my own work.  I have a love for fine papers and printing techniques – engraving, watermarks, antique monograms and typography, and Italian handmade papers.
The timeless quality of Crane's® 100% cotton paper is used for printing the designs.  Each design is carefully handpainted with acrylics and watercolors. I strive for a marriage of my fine art and graphic design skills.
The Seahorse Designs  logo is symbolic of childhood memories on the beach, and gazing at the aquarium at the Marine Room where I had dinners with my grandparents. Trips to the seashore with my husband and our children keep these memories alive.
I am charmed by the beauty, confidence and grace these little creatures display.
My hope and intent is that these little gifts of art will inspire or capture a special moment in your life.
Cheers!
